Announcement – CALL FOR PAPERS
22nd Annual Olin Finance Conference at WashU
November 12-13, 2026
Following the successes of the previous twenty one conferences, the Finance Area of the Olin Business School at Washington University and its Wells Fargo Advisors Center for Finance and Accounting Research (WFA-CFAR) will be hosting the 22nd Annual Olin Finance Conference at WashU on November 12-13th at the Washington University in St. Louis campus. The conference will start in the afternoon of Thursday, November 12th and continue Friday, November 13th. The conference will feature a keynote speech and a dinner (both on Thursday). The program of last year's conference can be found here: 21st Annual Olin Finance Conference at WashU - 2025
DESCRIPTION
Like last year, we will be hosting a general finance conference. The topics of interest for the conference are broad, including asset pricing, behavioral finance, corporate finance, financial intermediation, as well as household, development, and labor finance. Empirical and theoretical papers on these, as well as related topics, are most welcome.
SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
To have your paper considered for the conference, please submit the paper in PDF format electronically by 11:59 PM CT, July 31, 2026, to the website: 22nd Annual Olin Finance Conference at WashU - 2026
There is a $75 submission fee for each manuscript. Questions regarding the submission process should be directed to Denise Herren, denise.herren@wustl.edu. Those submitting papers will be informed of the organizing committee's decision in August. All conference participants will be responsible for their own expenses. We look forward to an exciting conference and hope you will submit your paper for consideration.
**PhD Poster Session**
Like last year, we will be including a special PhD poster session on the program. We encourage finance faculty members to nominate their PhD students for this session. Students cannot apply themselves, but rather must be nominated by a faculty member.
Eligibility: PhD students on the finance job market during academic year 2026-2027 are eligible for nomination.
Procedure: To nominate a student, faculty members should complete the Poster Session Nomination Form. The deadline for nominations is August 31, 2026 by 11:59 PM CT.
A small number of students, whose papers are judged by the selection committee to demonstrate outstanding insights and promise, will be chosen as the winners of these awards and will be invited to participate in the conference. Each award winner will give a short presentation of their paper with the aid of a poster to the conference participants on November 12th. Award winners will receive lodging for one night of the conference, their conference registration fees paid by the
WFA-CFAR and will have the option to use WashU’s onsite poster printing services, compliments of the WFA-CFAR.
